The huge scale of this residence demanded a large, impressive garden design. Using the existing hillside, Kurisu created an extensive stroll garden based on Japanese landscape design principles. Garden waterfall design involved a rushing creek beginning at the top of the hill, meandering downwards under stepping stone bridges and gathering strength before flowing as dual waterfalls into a pond at the entry of this residence. Garden paths curve through the hillside landscape design to a fire pit, and offer different views of the surrounding landscape.
Landscaping with rock, Kurisu designed a waterfall for the swimming pool, softening the lines and integrating this area of the home with the front garden.
